Written Steps

1
How the Feed Works
BuzzTaste Intelligence is a live feed of customer food photos at Birmingham restaurants. When a customer uploads a photo at your restaurant, it goes into a moderation queue, gets approved, and appears on /birmingham/eating-now. Trending dishes and restaurants are calculated automatically every 15 minutes.
2
Find Your Restaurant's Upload Link
Your restaurant's food photo upload page is at /buzz-pins/[your-pin-id]/food-photo/upload. Your BuzzPin ID is shown in your BuzzPresence dashboard. Share this link via QR code on your tables so customers can upload photos directly.
3
Create a Table QR Code
Generate a QR code pointing to /buzz-pins/[your-pin-id]/food-photo/upload. Print it and place it on each table. When customers scan it, they land on your restaurant's upload page — no app download required.
4
What Customers See on Upload
The upload form asks for a photo (from camera or gallery), dish name (optional), a quick reaction (e.g. 'Amazing', 'Must Try'), and meal tags. They tap Submit and the photo enters your moderation queue.
5
Moderation Queue
Admin reviews all submitted photos at /admin/eating-now/moderation. Each photo shows a preview, the dish name, the restaurant, and the submission time. Click Approve to publish it to the live feed, or Reject to remove it. Approved photos also write a BuzzRep tag to your reputation profile automatically.
6
Feature a Photo
Once approved, you can mark a photo as Featured. Featured photos appear at the top of the /birmingham/eating-now feed and in the trending widget. Use this for your best presentation photos or dishes you want to promote.
7
View Your Restaurant Activity
See all photos from your location at /buzz-presence/[slug]/food-activity. This shows total photos, approved count, featured count, trending dishes, and a photo gallery sorted by upload time.
8
Daily Specials
Pair BuzzTaste with Daily Specials. At /buzz-presence/[slug]/specials you can create today's special (dish name, description, price, time range). When a customer checks in, they see your active special automatically on their check-in card.
9
Trending Snapshots
Every 15 minutes the system rebuilds trending data: top dishes, top tags, and busiest restaurants in the last 6 hours. This powers the trending sidebar on /birmingham/eating-now. Restaurants with the most approved photos naturally surface higher.
10
Public API for Partners
Your restaurant's food photos are available via the public API at /api/v1/public/business/[slug]/food-photos and specials at /api/v1/public/business/[slug]/specials/today. External apps and ChatGPT plugins can query these endpoints to surface your real-time data.
