Seeds Coffee Co.

When brothers Jeff and Bret Huey started roasting coffee as a hobby from their garage in 2010, they never imagined how their humble operation would take off. They moved into a break room. Then a storefront opened up next door in Homewood. The rent was low. The neighborhood needed something. And Seeds Coffee was born. But here's what separates Seeds from the rest: they've formed direct relationships with farmers in Guatemala, Indonesia, and Colombia โ€” so you can know exactly where your cup of coffee is coming from. That's not just good coffee. That's a cup with a conscience. They discovered a concept called "third place" โ€” a place that isn't your home or your work, but somewhere you belong. Coffee shops fit that perfectly, reaching people across demographics and social levels. And Seeds has leaned all the way into that vision. Walk in and you'll feel it immediately. Regulars, community boards, the hum of real conversation. The neighborhood didn't just adopt Seeds. Seeds helped anchor the community โ€” and now it's a destination. That's the Buzz.

Seeds has formed direct relationships with farmers in Guatemala, Indonesia, and Colombia. Their third-place philosophy has turned a Homewood storefront into a destination that anchors the community.
